Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 10 February 2026 | Effective: 10 February 2026

1. Definitions

"Service" refers to the car rental services provided by drivarar. "User", "You", or "Renter" refers to any individual who books or uses a drivarar rental vehicle. "We", "Us", or "Our" refers to drivarar, operating from 16 Jalan Sultan Hishamuddin, 50000 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. "Vehicle" refers to any car or motor vehicle provided under a drivarar rental agreement. "Agreement" refers to the rental contract formed when you confirm a booking with us.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By making a booking with drivarar, whether through our website, by phone, email, or in person, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not proceed with a booking.

You must be at least 21 years of age and hold a valid driving licence to rent a vehicle from drivarar. Foreign visitors must present a valid passport and either a home-country licence with an English translation or an International Driving Permit.

3. Service Description

drivarar provides short-term and medium-term vehicle rental in Peninsular Malaysia. Our services include the City Commuter Package, Highway Cruiser Rental, and Airport Transfer Vehicle options. Each package includes comprehensive insurance coverage and 24-hour roadside assistance.

Vehicle availability depends on fleet status at the time of booking. We reserve the right to offer a comparable or higher-category vehicle if the originally requested model is unavailable.

4. Booking and Payment

A booking is confirmed once you receive written confirmation from us via email or messaging application. A security deposit is required at the time of vehicle collection, held on your credit or debit card. The deposit amount varies by vehicle category and will be communicated at booking.

Rental rates are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM). The rate includes insurance and a standard mileage allowance as described in your booking confirmation. Additional charges for excess mileage, fuel, late returns, or optional add-ons are detailed separately.

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled pickup incur no fee. Cancellations within 48 hours may be subject to a cancellation charge equivalent to one day's rental.

5. Renter Responsibilities

As a renter, you agree to operate the vehicle in a safe and lawful manner in accordance with Malaysian traffic laws. You are responsible for any traffic fines, parking penalties, or toll charges incurred during the rental period. You must not allow any person who is not listed on the rental agreement to drive the vehicle.

The vehicle must not be used for racing, towing, off-road driving, or any unlawful activity. Smoking inside the vehicle is not permitted. A cleaning fee may apply if the vehicle is returned in a condition that requires additional cleaning beyond normal use.

You must return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel, matching the level at which it was provided. If the tank is not full upon return, a refuelling charge will be applied.

6. Insurance and Liability

All rental vehicles are covered by comprehensive motor insurance as required under Malaysian law. This includes third-party liability and own-damage protection. An excess amount applies in the event of a claim, the details of which are provided at the time of booking.

Insurance coverage does not apply if the vehicle is operated in violation of these terms — for example, by an unauthorised driver, while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or outside Peninsular Malaysia without prior written approval.

drivarar is not liable for any personal belongings left in the vehicle during or after the rental period.

7. Vehicle Condition and Return

At the start of the rental, both you and our representative will inspect the vehicle and note its condition. You should report any pre-existing damage before driving away. At the end of the rental, a similar inspection will be carried out.

Vehicles must be returned to the agreed location at the agreed time. Late returns without prior arrangement may incur additional charges at the applicable daily rate. Extended returns can usually be arranged — please contact us at least 24 hours before your scheduled return time.

After-hours returns at airport locations are available through our secure key return facility. The vehicle will be inspected on the next working day.

8. Accidents and Breakdowns

In the event of an accident, you must contact the police immediately and obtain a police report. You must also notify drivarar as soon as reasonably possible. Do not admit liability at the scene of an accident.

For mechanical breakdowns, contact our 24-hour roadside assistance line. We will arrange repair or a replacement vehicle depending on the situation and your location within Peninsular Malaysia.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the drivarar website, including text, images, logos, and design, is owned by drivarar and protected under Malaysian intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any content from our website without prior written permission.

10. Disclaimers

While we maintain our vehicles to a high standard, the service is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not warrant that any specific vehicle model will be available at all times. We do our best to match your request but may substitute a comparable alternative.

drivarar does not provide professional driving advice. It is your responsibility to be familiar with Malaysian road rules and conditions before operating the vehicle.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law, drivarar's total liability under any rental agreement shall not exceed the total rental fee paid for that booking. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the rental vehicle, including loss of income, travel disruptions, or personal inconvenience.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate a rental agreement and request the immediate return of the vehicle if you breach any of these terms. In such cases, no refund will be issued for the remaining rental period.

You may return the vehicle early. Depending on the circumstances, partial refunds for unused days may be available at our discretion.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from a rental agreement shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts.

We encourage resolving any concerns informally first. If you have an issue, please contact us and we will attempt to reach a fair resolution before formal proceedings are considered.

14. General Provisions

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect. Our failure to enforce any right under these terms does not constitute a waiver of that right.

These terms, together with the rental confirmation and any supplementary documents signed at vehicle collection, constitute the entire agreement between you and drivarar regarding the rental service.

15. Changes to Terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
